QUALITY ON AND OFF-ROAD:

The Backcountry 2.0 system is designed for people seeking the best ride on and off-road quality on a budget; basically, the Leveling Kit for those that want to have a little dirt-road fun in their 8,500lb truck without losing the on-road ride quality or usability for which the truck was designed. You’re no longer limited to the highway while gravel roads become uninteresting as you can drive them at speed with one hand on the wheel. The 2.5” lift height doesn’t require the front or rear geometry correction of our 3” Systems.

Utilizing Carli SPEC 2.0″ Diameter, Remote Reservoir shocks, we’ve developed a tune that delivers all around comfort and ride quality designed for on-road, in town, highway, towing/hauling as well as slow to mid speed off road use. The remote reservoir Carli SPEC 2.0 boasts 6063 Aluminum construction, anodized body for corrosion resistance, 5/8″ hardened steel chrome plated shaft, full serviceability & rebuildability and are built with 1-peice bushings in the 6061 billet rod-ends. These shocks are spec’d with a premium 5WT oil to balance lubricity, consistent damping and the widest available range in temperature variation. We back these with a 1-year warranty, serviced by Carli.

The rear shocks are also included with this system and have been custom tuned to maximize the ride quality for the factory rear coil springs. As the rear springs remain unmodified, load capacity is maintained while predictability is improved. For those that aren’t looking for massive increase in travel or big shocks but still desire a level stance and improved ride quality and handling characteristics, on and off-road, this is the perfect kit.

The front axle will be slightly pulled to the Driver’s side following installation of the lift; this can be corrected with the addition of our Adjustable Track Bar. Further, ride quality can be substantially increased with the addition of our Torsion Sway Bar. We recommend a 35” tire on a wheel that’s no more than 9” wide with 5.5”-6” Backspace. An 18” diameter wheel will be best to ensure optimal ride quality (more rubber = better small bump compliance) and an unloaded tire pressure of 45F/40R is recommended. The addition of a Carli Low-Mount Steering Stabilizer is recommended for any tire over factory size. For more details, see our article on wheel and tire selection and tire pressures:

This system will NOT be upgradeable to any of the 3″ Carli Suspension Systems. It’s designed to be a solution for customers wanting a quality system with minimal lift and part inclusion. Customers can purchase the Pintop leveling shock package for a huge boost in on-road control and off-road performance as well as ancillary components compatible with this lift height but there isn’t compatibility between the 2.5″ leveling and 3″ lift systems.

We recommend slight eccentric bolt compensation to correct caster after the lift as there are no Radius Arm Drops. For this reason, customers may experience a slight bow in the coil spring. We did not experience a coil bow in any of our test trucks but it’s possible at the 2.5” lift height without a Radius Arm Drop Bracket.

Our shipping department takes the same time and effort in packaging your products as our engineers do in designing them. However, damage can still occur in shipping. Most of these damaged items can be easily repaired during install and or in paint prep. If this is not the case, the buyer must inspect the packaging and the products carefully upon receiving them, then accept the shipment and if need be, notate any damages and irregularities, such as crushed, torn, punctured, or broken parts on both the packaging and the product, on the freight bill or receipt at the driver’s presence. A signed receipt without any notation releases the carrier as well as SDHQ from any further damage claim. Discovery of damages after a clear delivery becomes the responsibility of the customer. The buyer must notify SDHQ of any damages within 24 hours. In cases of damage with proper notion on receipt, the carrier will determine whether to pay for the repair cost or replacement value of the damaged goods after damage inspection. Replacement value is the amount the buyer paid to SDHQ and is not negotiable. All disputes about the settlement amount shall be addressed with the carrier. SDHQ, under no circumstances, shall be liable for the damaged product or for subsequent settlement of the claim with the carrier.

POWDER COATED ROCK SLIDERS SHIPPING POLICY: While we pack with care, we advise against shipping powder-coated sliders due to the risk of scuffs/scratches during transit. Any shipping-related damage isn't covered by SDHQ.

GOOSE GEAR SHIPPING POLICY: All Goose Gear products are made-to-order. Once your order is placed, it cannot be cancelled or refunded. By checking this box, you acknowledge and agree to these terms. Thank you for understanding the unique nature of our custom manufacturing process.

RETURNS:
