Description

The Super Duty Commuter 2.0 system is designed for people seeking the best on-road ride quality that don’t plan to off-road their vehicle beyond low-speed trail driving. Utilizing Carli SPEC 2.0″ Diameter, Internal Reservoir shocks, we’ve developed a tune that delivers all-around comfort and ride quality designed for on-road, in town, highway, and towing/hauling.

The two Systems are identical in configuration separated ONLY by the internal shock valving. The "PAP" (Progressive Add-a-Pack) suffix denotes an internal valving profile matched to those running stock rear springs. Whether the customer elects to run a factory spring, or a Carli progressive Add-a-Pack, this would be the proper selection. The "FSP" (Full Progressive Leaf Spring Pack) suffix denotes the better riding system as it is matched to the Carli Full Progressive Rear Leaf Spring that rides far better than the factory spring.

The mono-tube, internal reservoir, Carli SPEC 2.0 boasts 6063 Aluminum construction, anodized body for corrosion resistance, 5/8″ hardened steel chrome plated shaft, full serviceability & rebuildability and are built with 1-peice bushings in the 6061 billet rod-ends. These shocks are spec’d with a premium 5WT oil to balance lubricity, consistent damping and the widest available range in temperature variation. We back these with a 1-year warranty, serviced by Carli. More details on these shocks can be found HERE.

The truck will sit 2.5” higher in the front and have more wheel travel thanks to the taller, lighter rate coil springs. Stainless Brake Lines and an Adjustable Track Bar round off the front end geometry correction while Caster Shims improve on the stock handling.

The rear can be outfitted with one of 3 options:
  1. Best: A replacement Full Progressive Spring Pack (reduces capacity to a “light” ¾-ton). The Full Progressive Leaf Spring Pack offers the best ride and will shift the axle slightly forward in the wheel well to ensure maximum tire clearance for a 37” M/T at full compression. The Full Replacement Leaf Springs do not require any block (factory block is removed). This will be the best ride.
  2. Better: Factory leaf-pack modifying Progressive Add-a-Pack (maintains factory payload capacity and pairs with the factory 3-5/8” block). The Add-a-Packs are designed to work with trucks equipped with the 2” rear block. Super Duties equipped with a 3-5/8″ tall block from the factory will require the factory 2″ tall Block to achieve a leveled stance with the Add-a-Pack. Part Number: 7C3Z-5598-L and 7C3Z-5598-K.
  3. Good: The final option is to select “NO rear option” in this scenario, the rear lift will be left up to the customer as no rear spring modification is purchased. With this option, the rear springs are unaltered and customers will be best with the “PAP” valving profile.

AGAIN: Ensure your System includes the properly valved shocks for the rear spring modification purchased as noted in the above system configurator.

Wheel and Tire:

Factory Wheels SHOULD NOT be run with oversized tires. They’re known to rub the radius arm, sway bar and most concerning – Brake Lines. Factory tires and factory wheels will work without issue but we DO NOT recommend running oversized tires on factory wheels. On our 2.5” Ford Systems, we recommend 17”-18” wheels, no more than 9” wide with 5.5” of backspacing with Carli Fabricated Radius Arms or 5” Backspace with factory arms; 5” will require a bit more trimming. Tires, 37×12.5” will fit with some trimming; 35” will likely fit without trimming. The more rubber, the better the small bump compliance will be at proper inflation pressures. The ride will firm up as you go larger in wheel diameter.

FIBERGLASS SHIPPING POLICY:
Our shipping department takes the same time and effort in packaging your products as our engineers do in designing them. However, damage can still occur in shipping. Most of these damaged items can be easily repaired during install and or in paint prep. If this is not the case, the buyer must inspect the packaging and the products carefully upon receiving them, then accept the shipment and if need be, notate any damages and irregularities, such as crushed, torn, punctured, or broken parts on both the packaging and the product, on the freight bill or receipt at the driver’s presence. A signed receipt without any notation releases the carrier as well as SDHQ from any further damage claim. Discovery of damages after a clear delivery becomes the responsibility of the customer. The buyer must notify SDHQ of any damages within 24 hours. In cases of damage with proper notion on receipt, the carrier will determine whether to pay for the repair cost or replacement value of the damaged goods after damage inspection. Replacement value is the amount the buyer paid to SDHQ and is not negotiable. All disputes about the settlement amount shall be addressed with the carrier. SDHQ, under no circumstances, shall be liable for the damaged product or for subsequent settlement of the claim with the carrier.

POWDER COATED ROCK SLIDERS SHIPPING POLICY: While we pack with care, we advise against shipping powder-coated sliders due to the risk of scuffs/scratches during transit. Any shipping-related damage isn't covered by SDHQ.

GOOSE GEAR SHIPPING POLICY: All Goose Gear products are made-to-order. Once your order is placed, it cannot be cancelled or refunded. By checking this box, you acknowledge and agree to these terms. Thank you for understanding the unique nature of our custom manufacturing process.

RETURNS:
Some items may be eligible to be returned if returned as new within 30 days of shipping, with a 20% re-stocking fee. If eligible for return, the return amount will be for store credit.
