Well, the factory sway bar is essentially a brace locking the axle to the frame. What does this mean? What you hit with one tire is immediately transferred to the other tire and into the frame causing a high frequency reverberation\/chatter felt in the cab. If you’ve ever hit a manhole cover on the driver’s side tire and felt a shake in the entire truck or you’ve ever entered an off-camber driveway and smacked your head on the window – you can thank the factory sway bar.
